Mother's Day ( UK )

So as I've been staring at a blank page for past half hour wondering what I could possibly blog about. Inspiration hit me, well actually my mum inspired me. I asked her what she wanted for mother’s day. I rather ask her and know what she wants or needs rather than get her something she won’t use or won't like. So in reply she told me she could do with a new mascara her usual and maybe eyeliner as she’s running out. That’s fine with me. I know what she wants, needs and she will use. Bear in mind she wants the same mascara I got her last year for mother’s day but it makes it 10 times easier for me to shop for her present.

So the whole point of this post is to give your ideas what you could potentially buy for your mum for her special day. This doesn't have to be necessarily a mother’s day present but it could be a birthday present or even a little gift to show her that you love her. So here I picked out a few ideas for you to be able to pleasantly surprise your mum on her special day.

1. L'Oreal Double Extension Beauty Tubes Black

So I know this product has been out for a long while, but its my go to mascara. Since I've discovered this mascara I didn't want to try anything else. I have naturally long eyelashes but they aren't so thick. This mascara lengthens them and adds them volume giving them a false/natural look. The formula coats 'tubes' around your eye lashes which gives them that volume and length. The mascara is 'sort of' waterproof as it only washes off with warm water or oil free make up remover. It does not smudge so you don't have to worry about panda eyes (even in the morning).

It retails for £11.29 at Superdrug

2. L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream Light

So I've used this product before when I needed a very light coverage make up. This BB cream has a great formula with a very light coverage. Its not a product to cover blemishes or very visible red blotches around the skin but it gives the skin a great glow. The coverage isn't very build-able but it is great for those who wish to have a very natural/ barely any make up look. So its perfect for those mum's who just like to put on a bit of foundation a bit of mascara and lip balm and be out of the door. Its also great for the people on the go.

It retails for £9.99 at Superdrug

3. Emporio She eau de parfum 100ml

My mum LOVES this perfume. This is a bit more expensive but it is a great purchase. I always get it for my mum. The perfume has a certain note of floral, almond and a little bit of vanilla scent, its a difficult smell to describe but its more sweet than floral. Its a great scent, as I said my mum loves it and I get it for her for Christmas usually. She tries to savor it which is unnecessary because the scent lasts for a long time on skin and on clothes. So if you have a bigger budget for mother's day I really do recommend this product.

It retails at £60.00 for 100ml and £49 for 50ml at Debenhams

Don't forget you also have an option of flowers, beautifully custom made cups, cards, canvases or chocolates. Every thought counts it doesn't matter whether its big or small.

Have a great day!

And to all Mums HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Maddie
