Health Detox!!

Image result for fruitI have had a complete writers block for the past couple of days! Actually I had a look online on what I could possibly write about. Most of them include makeup looks or recommended products and I’m not ready to write about those yet. I recently posted a review on Kevin Murphy so I’m staying away from reviews for now. Don’t want to write about the same things all the time.

The reason for this post is that it’s time for me to go on complete "detox" again… by detox I mean stop eating TAKE AWAYS. I’ve been terrible for the past few weeks. Buying takeaways because they are easier and I could not be bothered to cook. And as a punishment my skin is out of control! I look like I have chicken pox all over my forehead. So here is what I do for my "detox".

Attempting to eat healthy is not easy. For me at least. But about two and a half months ago I went through the same thing… eating bad food, unhealthy food and then regretting it because my skin started to look horrendous. I lasted about a month and I went back (slowly) to my bad eating habits. So now I’m going back onto a “detox” and I’m going to tell you what I do to stay healthy (at least for a little while).

Blender
So the first thing I did I bought a blender for smoothies. Any blender will do I got mine from amazon and it came with TWO large shakers and TWO small ones. It’s quick and easy to do. You just put in the desired ingredients, put the blade cap on, blend, change the cap into the shaker cap and voila, you have yourself a great, healthy tasting smoothie.

Use frozen fruit
For my smoothies I tend to use frozen fruit they will be especially great in the summer to cool off. You can use any fruit you like, frozen fruit can also be bought but they don’t have such a big selection. But do use frozen fruit because adding ice will just water the smoothie down and it wont taste as good.

Sweetness
Now I always liked my drinks sweet weather its coffee, tea, hot chocolate and smoothies. Too much sugar isn’t good enough but what’s the point in being healthy and not enjoy it. It would make it so much harder for me to stick to it. So when I need my smoothie a little sweeter I use HONEY instead of sugar. This way is much healthier and natural. It’s also very tasty.

Yogurt
Sometimes I like to use Greek or plain yogurt with my smoothies it makes it extra yummy! However you can use any flavour of yogurt you wish. The yummier the better.

Now for the food part
Well you can’t live just on smoothies. You have to have proper meals.

Coconut oil
This was actually my boyfriend’s idea (so all credit goes to him) using coconut oil is great for cooking even the spray one. Its s much healthier contains hardly any sugar, salts, fats, carbs etc. so next time you’re frying something use coconut oil it’s so much healthier!

Pasta, rice, couscous

If you’re trying to eat little carbs cut out potatoes and replace them with either pasta, rice or couscous. Or even with other yummy veggies such as broccoli, cauliflower, green beans etc.

Healthy meals
When I tried to stay healthy I tried my best to stay away from fatty foods such as McDonalds KFC etc. it worked… for a while. Instead I ate things like
·      Spaghetti Bolognese (sometimes I substituted mince for quorn mince)
·      Chili con carne (again… substituted for quorn mince)
·      Steamed chicken and vegetables
·      Mediterranean chicken with potatoes or pasta.
·      Chicken stir fry with either rice or couscous.
·      Pancakes with fruit
·      Just a bowl filled with fruit
·      Ham salad sandwiches
·      Chicken and chorizo salad sandwiches (the yummiest thing ever!)
·      Tuna
       Wraps

There are many things out there you can eat to stay healthy! The benefits of eating healthy will give you beautiful shiny hair, amazing skin, better immune system and even energy. I don’t know about anybody else but I feel horrible and sluggish after a take away or an unhealthy meal.
BUT don’t forget to treat yourself once in a while. Go out for a meal with your family, friends or your loved one and order what you WANT.

Anyway hope I helped and my advice was useful.

See you soon
